Lockets are such timeless pieces of jewellery and they are the perfect way to carry a memento or picture of a loved one, past or present. When Prince Albert died at the age of just 42 in 1861 Memorial Jewellery became de rigueur and lockets began to be produced in the thousands, in all sorts of designs and materials.
