Stunning Art Nouveau Heart Pendant / Brooch
This wonderful pendant is not only a beautiful piece of jewellery but also a very versatile piece that can be used as either a pendant or a brooch (brooch pin can be permanently removed if required) . Circa 1900 this large piece is similar to pieces sold in Liberty's and is probably an Anglo German piece, the caged baroque pearl is typical of Murrle Bennett pieces. Having said all that, it is different to many of those, it's rather individual with it's criss cross grid design and the size of it suggest it could be an Arts & Crafts maker.
In any case, it is a beautiful and unusual piece of very good quality.
In 9ct solid Yellow gold, it is set with real seed pearls and a baroque pearl and an emerald cut real Peridot
It will come in a new, good quality, vintage style box along with the piece of voile ribbon. It would make a great present for a Pearl Anniversary or someone who has a birthday in August as Peridot is the birthstone for August. Or maybe for a Queen of Hearts!
