Gold Art Nouveau Brooch by Barnet Henry Joseph
Such a pretty piece this one and so typical of the Art Nouveau style with the whiplash "snake" weaving in and out. Centrally set with a green turquoise cabochon and the teardrop real pearl suspending freely from the bottom. This brooch could easily have retailed in Liberties as Barnet Henry Joseph was one of the big players of the wholesale jewellery trade of the time along with the likes of Murrle Bennett and Co.
This piece could easily be converted to a pendant by a competent jeweller.
