I love Sautoir, otherwise known as Flapper necklaces.
I think they feature on Downton Abbey more than another piece of Jewellery.
This one is particularly fine in 18ct gold and has some very pretty real turquoise pebbles on it – the largest being 14mm x 19mm and flat at the back so it sits perfectly.
On a fine quality chain that is staggered with real seed pearls.
A really beautiful piece of Jewellery.
Condition is excellent – A 9ct swivel clasp has been historically added for some reason – not sure why as no clasp is really required as it simply pops over the head –maybe because it wouldn’t go over the brim of a hat or an ornate hair do?
